I like this very much. Good choice for colors on the boat, which contrast nicely with the muted colors in the rocks and water.

Wonderful painting!

You have a good grasp of texture and the application of warmth that displays itself so well in this work. So good to see an artist that actually paints what he sees! Too often, individuals will paint something that apparently 'holds a message', or 'displays the emotional attitude of the artists at the time of painting", or tries to convey a 'hidden meaning'etc etc, to my mind, this often covers up a lack of ability on behalf of the artist..someone once said...quote:...the production of abstract interpretation will be either something that is clever and thought-provoking, or something that is produced to cover the lack of actual ability on behalf of the artist.....how true!

I bet this will promote savage comment from some quarters!

..oh well, always remember that art is very fickle...it all depends what the viewer sees, not necessarily what the artist wants to portray!
